Arteezy criticized Dota 2 matchmaking Hellhole

You know, sometimes even gaming professionals face problems that seem insurmountable. Artur “Arteezy” Babaev, a well-known Dota 2 player, shared his thoughts on the current state of matchmaking in this popular game.

On Twitter, he expressed dissatisfaction with how the system of selecting players for ranked matches works. According to him, the situation is so bad that Valve could easily sell accounts with a high rating, and it would not change the situation much. Out of twenty matches he played, twelve included participants with purchased accounts, re-leavers (players who changed sides), griefers, or those who were simply absent during the game.

Arteezy is especially depressed by what is happening at the very top of the leaderboard. Having dropped to rank 300, he faced real chaos – players full of despair who seem to have lost all hope for improving the situation.

This isn’t the first time the Canadian player has approached the developers with complaints about the matchmaking system. He’s tried to get Valve’s attention on the issue before, but it seems like changes are still a long way off. Hopefully, sometime in the near future, perhaps as early as 2025, things will change for the better. For now, all we can do is watch and wait.
